Bloc Hotel Gatwick

I will give 10 stars if possible. The room is well equipped regardless it's size. Everything is so clean. You can find hairdryer, well designed toilet+ shower room. The air con inside is very powerful and can be tuned into cooling or heating mode. There is even a coffee room where you can take away the coffee and hot drinks. Excellent. Recommend anyone who want to stay overnight in Gatwick, well balanced in terms of service, equipment and cost.

There is no denying the room is small and without windows, however arrived on a winters evening so it was already dark. It was fine for me as a solo traveller as I took the bottom bunk. Not sure how I would feel in the top one. It looked very cramped. It was strange for my first time in a hotel like this, no carpet on the floor but a practical plastic type one instead. The bathroom was fine the soaps and bodywash smelt lovely. It was good to get a discount for nearby food places I picked the wrong one but never mind. I loved being able to do bag drop for my BA flight such a nice experience. Then up and out in the morning after soaking the bathroom plan your showers carefully as it is a wet room. Really made my flight experience so much easier. If you come armed with the right expectations you should have a good stay.

We spent one night so we could catch a morning flight back to the States. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering good suggestions for eating. Bed was comfortable, room was very small but temperature control and lighting worked fine. Only drawback was the shower room. I booked it knowing it was a combined bath/toilet, but I hadn't thought out the practicalities. So, I'm currently booked for another night in March, but THIS time I'll be smart and bring flip-flops. There's very limited space to hang clothes & towels in the shower room. My spouse is a hero for handing them to me. Overall, the convenience of easily getting to our flight outweighs the shower room.

As someone who gets stressed flying and getting to the airport this was absolutely perfect in terms of being directly next to the entrance to security and departures. The room was super modern and clean and great value for money. We got upgraded to a room with a window but my dad's room without a window was still absolutely great. They also facilitated booking our valet parking which was great and the fast track security was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend for people who want a stress free start to their travels

In terms of negatives, the bathroom is a wet room, so once you’ve used the shower the floor is wet. The floor was creaky. The control panel on the wall was ok but quite small. I would have got a better price by booking on the day, so that was disappointing to see. But there are lots of positives. It’s located steps away from security (for which you are given a free fast track pass if booking direct). There are some good restaurants within a short walk (be careful if booking ahead, as some restaurants are after security). Soundproofing was decent- I wasn’t disturbed by any planes. The bed was large and comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The electric blind was cool, if quite loud. The whole room was nearly perfectly clean. Receptionists in person and on the phone were friendly and helpful. Overall I would recommend it, and would consider staying again.

Warm welcome at the reception, smooth check in and was told they were available 24 hours if I needed anything. Good directions to the room and where to find are to make hot drinks. Discounts available at a few restaurants. Had a good nights sleep. Smart room was super with lighting and black out blind. Hotel located in terimal 2 which made it hassle free on check to go to security and wander around dury free and shops and on to the gate relaxed. I would book again and highly recommend!

The hotel is ideal for travelers who value location and efficiency over luxury. Everything is designed to be functional and straightforward, making it perfect for short stays, overnight rests, or long airport waits. Overall, Bloc Hotel does exactly what it promises. It is a clean, comfortable, and very practical airport hotel that I would happily use again when flying through Gatwick.

Stopped here for 5 nights over the Christmas break. Absolutely gorgeous hotel room, very spacious, the pink lighting was stunning and the ability to sit on the toilet and have a shower at the same time - if you wanted to - made this a truly unique stay. Super convenient. Compliments to the hosts. Only thing to be aware of is the hotel is quite close to an airport so beware of this if you are susceptible to plane noise.
